Johno Wells here. I am a one-man operation who finds myself in many strange and interesting situations.

From web sites to photography and video, from short films and documentaries to music videos, from directing and pre-production vision to editing and post compositing, I seem to do it all.

Solution to video needs at Event Solutions Expo 2003:

At the Event Solutions Expo, I ran the video and graphics shows from a Final Cut Pro timeline, sent out via Firewire to a mini DV camera, and composited from the camera to the guy at the video mixer. My computer is a Mac G4, Dual 1.25 Ghz.

Having my Mac on-site was the way to go, as far as needing to create graphics (slideshows) and video content backstage, just a few hours before the show. I prepared graphics for myself and a few other video sources (PCs, other various video shows, etc).

Playing it from the timeline in Final Cut gives me the ability to play the "glorified powerpoint piece" like a movie. I can pause it and play it from a much more visual-based system. I am looking at all the parts of the show!

I liked the challenge, and the team was super.
