Imagine walking by a tradeshow booth where
a 3D character is holding court in mid-air, and you can wave
your hand right through him. At special events, characters can
be projected onto transparent film that can be moved on the stage.
3D holograms are a reality, and ours can talk!

We searched the country for 3D floating image
displays and we found the best.
A
Floating Image Display projects the animation out in front
of a box, and it is visible when a person stands right
in front of the box.
Of course, CHOPS' or Cybrina's
head stands out, literally, from the display by about 20 inches
or so, from the cabinet, which is covered with a piece
of black, anti-reflective glass. Viewers can see the image
clearly within a viewing cone about 30 to 40 degrees wide in
front of it.
The full-color, moving,
talking images captivate the eye. The strange comments
tickle the funny bone. It's really an new experience for everyone,
since this is the first time that our interactive characters
(or anyone's) have been shown with such an unusual video display
device.
Floating Image Displays
(FID) come in a variety of sizes, from a small tabletop version
to a couple of kiosk-sized units. In some cases, we
can incorporate a back field into the 3D image, using 3D graphics
to really give the display depth, along with the front field
objects, which would be the talking characters. The art for
the backfield can be rich and complex, using color and shape
to project a virtual reality experience right into thin air,
without a pair of 3D glasses in sight.
The
housing is a high-quality cabinet that is easily integrated
into a tradeshow booth, and is available in several
beautiful laminates, or it can be integrated into a custom
exhibit easily. We can supply exact dimensions and specifications
for your particular application.
The tradeshow booth of the
future may have several of these displays with talking characters
like CHOPS or Cybrina appearing on them, guiding attendees,
handing out T-shirts and doing product demos in real time.
It's something people will remember and talk about, long after
the hall's doors close. Floating 3D heads that can interact
with people is our speciality and we can do it for you today.

Video Enterprises, and be sure to say that CHOPS sent you.
In cooperation with an AV
company now developing large-scale 3D projection, we are able
to bring CHOPS to corporate meetings or special events
and make him jump right out of the screen, ten feet tall.
Special glasses are used
for this effect, along with the company's custom projection
system, but you get the same results that the Disney
people and others have used very successfully for years, with
one main difference. Our characters are animated live, so they
can speak directly to people in the audience, inches away from
their faces, using 3D projection.
This
is very new ground for us and our co-producers, but
it is such an exciting area, that we know it is just what a
high-tech company wants to impress their staff and make that
next meeting unforgettable.
Another technique that works
well is the use of TransScreen material, which is a completely
transparent screen, for use like a clear window. It's
easy to project the CHOPS image on this, but it's only recommended
for low-ambient-light situations. (www.laser-magic.com)

a quote on the costs of bringing this show to your next production,
please give us a call. Since the character work is all
done live, production times can be very short and not much
advance preparation is needed.
